Défilés on line Bernhard Willhem ... at the Salle Wagram
The young German designer has impeccable credentials:
graduate from the Anvers fashion school, assistant to Alexander McQueen,
Walter van Beirendonck, Dirk Bikkembergs, worn by Björk at the Cannes
Film Festival… But he gleefully breaks away: Willhelm does Willhelm,
nothing else, and it’s droll, lively, totally individualistic. His
all-Black models wear baggy rapper outfits with big golden geometric motifs,
ethnic without folkloric references – Africa, martial arts, the
circus – as festive mutations of street wear trainer suits. Girls
had better watch out. Or dig into the menswear collections, the ultimate
refuge of fun. Press : Totem / Kuki de Salvertes |
