After nearly ten years in fashion, the Argentinian Studio
Berçot graduates boldly upholds his reputation as an avant-garde
designer, conquered at the Festival d’Hyères, confirmed by
his many incursions into contemporary art: an exhibition in the gardens
of the Château de Courances, performances in Beaubourg with artist
Edouard Levé… His costumes for the Crazy Horse revue dancers
belonged to the same process: to inscribe his sexy-trash refinement in
the bastion of Paris erotic chic. His recent interest in menswear seems
to indicate the field’s potential for transgression. His collection
flirts with street-wear, plays on techno-flash materials, with easy cuts
designed for dancing: an impeccably staged presentation. |
