Défilés on line Kris van Assche ...at the Elysée Monmartre Eagerly expected last season for his debut collection,
fresh out of Hedi Slimane’s studio, the young Antwerp-educated designer
expresses his romantic sensibility for his second outing. His models wander
on the catwalk as though exiting a Buenos Aires dancehall in the wee hours
– virile rather than narcissistic, with their undone white tuxedoes, Clark
Gable moustaches and bull-fighter chaquetas, holding their jackets like
muletas… All the better to showcase sophisticated details, like the softly
back and front pleated trousers (ideal, whispers a spectator, for men
with skinny cheeks), pant riding up the legs (perhaps to walk in the waves
on the way back from the casino). And a live tango finale designed to
break female hearts. Press : KCD - Alexis Arnault
