Festival laureate (1995) has broken free from his all-black stance, with
his « Spleen » collection – which is anything but melancholy.
His “Legionnaire” safari jackets, with their fringed epaulets,
may be more suited to nightclubs than to desert storms. Still, Delcour’s
daytime outfits play on summer fabrics with a high-tech twist. Lacquered
linen, cool wool, braided, damasked, waffled, mercerized or Lurex striped
cotton are worked into easier proportions… In their “death-head”
