Défilés on line Christian Lacroix ... at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts There is always something moving about Christian Lacroix… Even more so with this ready-to-wear presentation, just before the couturier decides to stay, or not, at the head of his house, recently re-sold to the American Falic Group. Thus, this tender and somewhat tame demonstration of Parisian chic: the Arlesian designer has filtered and concentrated his child-like – Mozartian – love of ornament… The boys, with the jewel-hued velvet suits, reflect Lacroix’s own Bohemian sartorial style. The girls wear light outfits, punctuated with couture details, curvy suits with dyed fur collars, chiffon dresses and sumptuously embroidered coats. Lacroix keeps on getting younger and freer – which is the hallmark of very great talents.
