The hyper-prolific designer marks his eponymous brand’s territory with electronic belts flashing “Lagerfeld Gallery”. His collection is, of course, pure Karl, with ultra-slim suits and a work on geometric forms – triangular or knife-pleated skirts, removable funnel collars, neo-Eighties collars echoing the soundtrack, remixing Prince with the Scissor Sisters. Fur was everywhere – in this Siberian weather, there was no reason to stint on the season’s star material, ferociously modernized by the Kaiser’s touch.
