Défilés on line Bernhard Willhem ... at the Palais Omnisport de Bercy
The smiling, leopard-spotted lion queens who criss-crossed the floor of the Salle Marcel Cerdan seemed hard put not to burst into giggles. Bernhard Willhelm is all about fun. Drawing his post-modern inspiration from African sartorial creativity, the German born Antwerp designer sent out subtly cut clothes – delicate dressed, draped skirts suspended on belts – matched with clownish accessories – leopard plush Louis the XIVth wigs, cotton wool slippers, with a childish glee and what he calls “the freedom of the fool”.
